Bihar Netraheen Parishad

Bihar Netraheen Parishad is a body in the service for upliftment of visually impaired and physically challenged segment of the society and to associate them in the social mainstream.

Dr. R.N Singh as President, Vijay Kr. Singh, General Secretary and Ramesh Prasad Singh, Secretary, Anita Punj overseas executive member.

The Parishad has now completed more than 40 years of its existence. As we look back, we derive great satisfaction from the fact that we have achieved significant milestones in bringing the segment into the mainstream of the society.

Bihar Netraheen Parishad is always on the lookout for committed and capable volunteers. While some departments in the Parishad require specific skill sets, in many other cases a willingness to assume responsibility while learning simple new systems is what we need.

Antarjyoti Balika Vidyalaya

Antarjyoti Balika Vidyalaya: Parishad is running blind girls residential school near Panchsheel High School, Kumhrar, Patna to provide education, rehabilitation, life skills & vocation training skills for visually challenged children. At present 110 girls are getting educations free of cost. They are also getting computer, music, vocational training, dance and judo training. The school was established on 27th Jun, 1993.

It is giving better results. Twenty five girls of the school have got jobs. Many of them are pursuing higher studies (PHD, Special B.Ed, B.Ed). Some of them are leading successful married lives. (Map of the location)
